Samonatura was our first experience at a naturist resort. It was perfect. Our host met us on our arrival and showed us to our well-appointed guest house which had a private area and a beautiful veranda with a view of the Atlantic in the distance. Each night we watched the Sun set from the hot tub. Other guests we met in the pool area were cordial and welcoming. We even played chess with 2 foot tall pieces. Samonanatura is a peaceful, reflective resort in a beautiful setting. Can’t wait to go back.

A stay at the Samonatura resort convincingly shows how relaxed life can be! It’s a fantastic, flowery, small scale naturist resort on a beautiful location, only a few miles from the ocean.
The various houses on the site offer plenty of privacy, but those looking for small talk or a conversation will certainly find an opportunity on the beautiful terrace around the spacious pool, spa and sauna.
Each house has a booklet with practicalities such as tips and tricks about the surrounding area, phone numbers for medical assistance and so on. Also there’s extensive information about the beautiful long distance walking route (Rota Vicentina) along the coast.

I stayed in the “new house” for 4 days; very spacious, fantastic terrace with sea view, nice bedroom, towels, shower towels, bathrobes, extra long bath towels for the loungers, fully equipped cooking facilities (4 hotplates and large combi-microwave), and a fully furnished large living room. There is a friendly little fishing village with supermarkets nearby, there are a large number of fantastic (sometimes naturist) beaches in coves between the cliffs and a little further away are some larger towns that are also well worth a visit.

There’s only one thing that I regret: I should have booked 40 days instead of 4 😉
